Founded in 1949 by Italian-American immigrants, the Italian American Civic League of Broward County was created with a simple mission: to celebrate, preserve, and share Italian culture, language, history, and traditions, while giving back through charitable works and strengthening our local community.
Our clubhouse is a large, character-filled gathering place located in the heart of Hollywood, Florida. The League is home to more than 200 members who come together to enjoy friendship, culture, and a genuine sense of belonging.
Each month, we host dinner dances featuring classic Italian-style cuisine, live music, and one of the largest dance floors in the area. Throughout the year, members and guests enjoy a wide variety of social events and celebrations of national holidays filled with great food, dancing, and good company.
Weekly Bingo nights are a favorite tradition, bringing people together for fun, friendly competition, and community spirit. We also offer Italian Language Classes for members who wish to learn or strengthen their connection to the Italian language and heritage.
The League proudly awards annual scholarships to local students of Italian-American descent, supporting the next generation while honoring the traditions and values on which our organization was founded.
